Refined, mineral and pure, showing aromas of sliced lemons, pastry, grapefruit and salted nuts. The midweight palate has balanced acidity and a generous mouthfeel, with a fresh, harmonious finish. Nicely constructed with plenty of poise. 

The Firetree Bunny Hills Chardonnay comes from the Firetree Estate in Carneros, located south of Truchard in the hills. This 40-hectare site has roughly 10 hectares under vine. Winemaker Julien Fayard harvests the fruit by hand, with fermentation and ageing in stainless steel and concrete. The wine is expressively bright, with sea spray aromatics and citrus peel. Wonderfully silky fruit unfolds with a warm mid-palate richness, edging into the caramelised citrus peel, white peach, and apricot, carrying through to a lengthy finish.

Plush and generous, with ripe peach, nectarine and apricot flavors that are open-knit and soft. A drizzle of wildflower honey, toasted almond, panna cotta and butterscotch, along with spice accents, emerge on the finish, where this gains momentum, expanding into floral notes and pear pastry flavors.

The 2024 Chardonnay Bunny Hills rolls out with ready-to-go notes of yellow apples and crunchy pears, leading to hints of candle wax, lemongrass, and cedar. The oak-laced, medium-bodied palate delivers intense orchard and citrus fruit flavors with a racy backbone and creaminess to the texture, finishing long and cedary.
